Game rules
Texas Hold'em is played between participants rather than against the casino. The poker room provides the table, dealer and rules, and normally earns revenue through a disclosed rake or time charge.
The two players left of the dealer button post the small and big blinds. Each player receives two private hole cards.
Action takes place before the flop, after the three-card flop, after the turn and after the river.
A player uses the best five-card combination available from seven cards: two private cards and five shared community cards.
If more than one player remains after the final betting round, eligible hands are compared using the standard ranking from high card through royal flush.
Act in turn, keep cards visible, announce raises clearly and ask the dealer when a local rule or betting structure is unclear.
